Incredibly happy to announce we won big at the Confederation of British Metalforming Awards, winning “Company of the Year”. After beating tough competition from Total, to take home the first ever CBM Company of the year award.

Achilles FPAL Approved

Somers Forge a ‘safe pair of hands’ for Oil and Gas buyers

Somers Forge located in Halesowen, has demonstrated its capability to deliver high quality services to the oil and gas sector, by being approved on the Achilles FPAL Verify network. Somers, which provides open die forgings, was audited on 20/08/19 under the Achilles FPAL Verify Audit programme. Achilles FPAL Verify is a rigorous independent assessment of an organisation’s capability across several areas, including QHSE and Competence & Training.

Victoria Allen, said, “By participating in the FPAL Verify Audit programme, Somers has demonstrated a clear commitment to meet the high QHSE standards that this industry correctly demands. This will help put the company in the good position to secure opportunities from oil and gas buyers”.

1.4 Million Press Upgrades

At Somers Forge we are constantly looking for ways to improve, investing heavily in our manufacturing equipment to make sure we continue to offer the best service to our customer’s. We recently invested 1.4 million on upgrading our medium-sized press. This has further improved our reliability, with closer tolerances achieving than ever before.
